Ready for takeoff. Delaware will officially begin legal adult-use cannabis sales on August 1, at which time its existing medical dispensaries can begin recreational sales to customers.

ā€œDelaware has taken a major step forward by launching a legal adult-use cannabis market that prioritizes equity, safety, and accountability. This new industry will generate critical revenue to strengthen our schools, infrastructure, and public health systems, while creating real opportunities for entrepreneurs. This revenue also gives us a powerful tool to invest in the communities most impacted by the war on drugs, addressing past wrongs and ensuring that the benefits of this new market reach every corner of our state. I’m proud we’re moving quickly and thoughtfully to build a cannabis market that reflects our values and expands opportunity for every Delawarean.ā€

Governor Matt Meyer

Delaware legalized recreational cannabis in 2023, becoming the 22nd state to do so at the time.

Wave goodbye to The Mitten. Multi-state operator TerrAscend announced its strategic exit from the Michigan cannabis market, planning to sell or divest all related assets. This includes four cultivation and processing facilities, 20 retail dispensaries, and real estate.

ā€œAfter an extensive evaluation, we have made the strategic decision to exit the Michigan market. Michigan is an extremely difficult market and we have come to the realization that our resources can be better utilized in our other markets. This move will unlock value for TerrAscend and its shareholders. By concentrating our efforts and resources in the Company’s core northeastern U.S. markets—New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Ohio—I am confident that we are now positioned to deliver stronger financial performance including improved margins and operational efficiencies.ā€

TerrAscend Executive Chairman Jason Wild

Net proceeds from the divestitures will be used to pay down existing company debt.
